Environmental certification

Environmental Certification refers to environmental quality which guarantees correct use of resources and assures the guest of the hotel’s full respect for the Environment.
In NH Hotels we believe environmental certifications assure our guests of the quality of our services, not to mention improve them after the exhaustive analysis necessary to obtain such certifications.
The Green Certification project aims to install an Environmental Management System in our most representative hotels.

More than 8,900 rooms in 70 NH hotels have some type of environmental certification. We trust that this figure will rise steadily over the next few years thanks to the Green Certification project.

NH Hotels has achieved Greenlight recognition for the whole hotel chain and the GreenBuilding seal for 5 of its hotels. Participation in these programmes guarantees, among other issues, that energy consumption has been reduced by 25%.

The NH Príncipe de la Paz hotel (Aranjuez, Madrid) received the European Green Building award as the most replicable project.
