NH Hoteles enters the Slovakian market, opening its first hotel in Bratislava: NH Gate One

Madrid, 7th February, 2012. NH Hoteles has begun operations in Slovakia following the addition of the NH Gate One hotel, located in the country’s capital, Bratislava. NH Hoteles reinforces its development in Eastern Europe with this incorporation. The Company operates in 26 countries with the addition of Slovakia to its portfolio.
NH Gate One joins the hotel chain’s portfolio under a management contract, in line with the Company’s strategy of pursuing growth using non-capital-intensive formulae. True to this new philosophy, the total of the establishments added in the past year are operated under a management arrangement. This model enables fast and sustainable growth in the Group’s portfolio in markets where it already has an entrenched position as well as in high-potential new markets.
In the NH Gate One, located in Bratislava, NH Hoteles will be able to take advantage of the commercial and operating synergies in the region, given this hotel’s proximity to the five establishments run by the Company in Vienna, just 45 minutes away.
Modern and functional design
Built in January 2010, the NH Gate One is a four-start superior hotel which combines functional facilities with cutting-edge design and elegance. Located in Bratislava’s new business district, close to the international M.R. Stefanik airport, the hotel has 116 rooms, 7 apartments and the city’s finest conference rooms, making it the ideal location for organising business trips.
